Hello everyone. I have suffered with ADHD for a while and i feel like it can sometimes take over my day to day tasks. I try doing plenty of exercise but my outbursts sometimes are pretty bad and i feel like my girlfriend and her kids will be affected by my behavior. They are mainly verbal outbursts. Any advice please.

I found that an Anger Awareness course with the NHS in the UK helped quite a bit. It gives many different skills to spot when anger is starting to build, how to cool the situation when it blows, keeping relaxed generally. To relax I try to use the 8 minute progressive relaxation recording at stresscontrolaudio(dot)com. We tend to have the fastest hair-triggers on the planet and it’s good that you can recognize it, because that is half the battle. I’m sure there will be some free online anger awareness resources out there as well.

Thank you for posting this - I also find my fuse to be explosive (almost out of nowhere sometimes, or sometimes there is a slow fuse that I try to ignore) - glad to hear I am not alone/the only one.
