There are multiple underlying factors, and lots of remedies/regimens we can do in order to help greatly diminish these issues. I made a video that delves into the subject matter and gives different options/remedies into how we can learn to manage our intense emotions when it comes to ADHD.
If you're interested, the vid is uploaded on my ADHD Youtube Channel. Link to my channel is in my bio description on my profile here (you can click my pic to get there).

Wow, thank you so much! I really needed this. Since the Coronavirus started and everything changed, my anxiety has been so much worse. My sister constantly tells me that I need to talk to my therapist. Actually, she said it again tonight. I try to explain to her that it’s not just simple anxiety, and how I have ADHD comorbids. Each time she cuts me off, and gets mad saying she doesn’t want explanations. I told her I could type it out for her, but she rejected the idea. Now that I watched your video, maybe I can convince her to watch it. It might make her think a little different coming from someone on the outside.
Also, I had no idea about supplements, except that that Vitamin B can help with some mood issues. The lack of food and sleep I totally know I get horrible. I did a personality type test about 2 years ago, but will try that out again too.
And about the therapists not knowing how to properly deal with ADHD, I feel my therapist is one of those. I tell her certain things, and her response usually is why can’t you just do it, or you’re gonna have to figure it out. I’ve been with her about 4 years now. In the beginning she helped a lot, but now reluctantly I’ve been thinking of finding someone else. Before her I would bounce around with those therapists who just let you talk without any feedback or direction.
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about the issues between you and your sister. A major reason I make those videos is for people with ADHD to share with others who are not aware of the symptoms and challenges that ADHD brings. Supplements along with ADHD medication have tremendously helped me turn my life around for the better, along with many others I've worked with. I advise to look for a therapist in your area that specializes in ADHD. Thank you for your kind words. I hope all goes well.
