My son diagnosed with ADHD,, need recommendations which types of therapies I need to work with for him “ occupational, play or behavioral therapist “

My son is yet to be officially diagnosed (age 5) but has been under the care of early education intervention following a tough time in preschool. He does OT and pragmatic speech therapy. We recently also did a private sensory evaluation and will be starting next more OT next week.

I would see if there is an early childhood special education program in your public school district as you may be entitled to free therapy. It may also set the way for an IEP.

It is such good news that you have identified this early, my son has improved in the last 6 months since his therapy started. I still feel unsure and overwhelmed at times but seeing him learning coping strategies that I could not teach him has been amazing. I am learning too as we go!
