Happy to Joint and learn and help

I came across this websites as I was browsing the ADHD news letter. And I too am a parent of a child with ADHD. We have our work set out for us. My son is one month away from 9 years old. He was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD at 5 years old. It’s been a long road. ( since he began walking at 8 months). We have good days, we have challenging days , and we flat out have bad days too. But we are journeying through. The best thing that has helped is me deciding to take a stand to recognize that ADHD is very real. I had to (and still Am) educate myself on this deficit and choose to really center my entire life around my son. Helping him, bring his advocate, understanding him, learning his capabilities, pusihing him, supporting him, and flushing “embarrassment” down the drain; all while making sure not to be his crutch. It is a whole new world, I never imagined being apart of, but have found so many blessings. I knew there is hope. And I know my just like my child, there are many other children and parents and family who struggle daily. I joined to learn, to vent, to Offer support and gain support. To be amongst others who share commonalities of the bitter sweet world of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder!
