My son is 8 years old. Was diagnosed at age 6 with Adhd/odd. Most days are a struggle with him. He can be so sweet, but it's like he can flip at the drop of a dime. Meds help and he's able to get through a school day now with a phone call to me. Things were starting to feel like maybe there was light at the end of the tunnel. Until a few days ago. The last few days have been a complete nightmare. I just feel like we are loosing ground

My ADHD son
I know the feeling! My son is 11 and sounds like a very similar course as your son. It is like a flip just switches. We have good days and bad days and sometimes this moves to good and bad weeks. We have my son meet with a school councilor which has helped at school when things get rough. At home, we try to make sure to keep him active as much as possible. Every day around 5, he has his more frequent rough time. So we try to have him eat supper and chill out a bit prior to homework. Best wishes to your family.
I can completely understand my son was diagnosed with ODD at 4 & ADHD @ 6 I feel like it's a never ending battle especially when the ODD flip has been ignited and the monster is unleashed my sweet caring son isn't there until the fuse fizzles out it and with the ADHD on top of it the meds he is on help alot he is 9 now but he still has his days and when they come they are rough in here if you want to chat
I totally understand my son is also 8 years old and lately past 2weeks have been rough for me. He's failing now talking back getting so easily frustrated and mad.
