Hello all,
I set out, at the beginning of July, to commit to walking daily for a three month period. True I still have today and tomorrow to complete and I'm sure I will do that. The target then was to walk 92 consecutive days and to aim for 10K per day.
I have done far better than I expected and I am content with my achievement. Friday I reached my personal goal with three days to spare and now I am walking because it just feels like that is what I want to do.
I have met people on my walks. Some I now know the names of; some not. I've tried to reach out and make contact and offer support where it was asked for.
I've lost weight but unsure how much. What I can confirm is my 36 waist to 34 and a large coat to a medium sized coat. For me these are tangible achievements confirming I'm on the right path.
I have to look ahead now and choose my way forward. Interesting though that an externally motivated challenge feels far easier to adopt than an internal one. Guessing I lack self confidence, self belief to know .. what next
So I thank everyone who replied, offered support and assisted in the challenge.
Have a good walking day if you choose,
Alan
