Sensory Walk/run

Sound…. Birds tweeting annd singing including a big flock of twite (I think), sea gulls, robin and great tit, to name a few.

Rushing water - lots of it! Stream bubbling, gurgling and rushing very fast. Water running off flooded fields and sloshing down drains.

Feet splashing in muddy puddles!

Smell…. damp earth, smoke from a bonfire, newly painted fence

Sight…… beautiful blue sky and interesting clouds, greens of the trees, grass and plants. A group of enthusiastic young (7 or 8 yrs old) runners with their coaches, happily splashing through the mud - all smiles and ‘good mornings’.

Touch…… stones and pebbles underfoot, warm sun on my face, squishy mud, cold water (hosing down a very muddy Squiggy!)

Taste…..looking forward to lunch!

Hia, yes, I fear this forum only allows one image per post, so many posters use a third party tool to create a collage and upload this as one image. Here, the app “pic collage” has been used. If you have a smart phone, just looking for “photo collage” or “pic collage” in the App Store might help to identify an easy to use app to put pics together.

Hope this helps?

Looking forward to your walking pics!

Well I think so…..but a quick search of the RSPB website says they are summer visitors to the Somerset coastline 🤔 When we lived on Skye a big flock of them landed in our back garden and were happily eating the newly sprinkled grass seed 😂 Some had rings on their legs so I emailed the RSPB and they sent a map to show where those particular birds were nesting (another part of Scotland). All very interesting 😊 They are very sweet and noisy 😀
