Walking in sunshine.

We had a lovely walk yesterday, MrRfc and I had a rare day off together with no chores around the house that urgently needed doing so we decided to take ourselves off for an off road hike.

We went to a place called leith Hill in Surrey.

We walked through the mud, up the hills and through the woods. The sun was shining. We had our backpacks full of pasta salad, fruit and coffee in the thermos and water. I love a picnic lunch. Stopped at a local pub for a half of cider half way through the walk. A very welcome treat and an excuse to use the loo. 😀.

All in all a 12.5km hike.

The picture is me walking up one of the many Hills there are near Leith Hill.

Sounds like you both enjoyed your lovely long walk.😊xx

It was great, life seems to get so busy sometimes to get a whole day together, it is nice when it happens. Might have something to do with the fact it’s between Bowls seasons. 😉.

It looks like a terrific place for a ramble Rfc - how wonderful to have a day off on a day that summer decided to visit us! What a win on all counts!

It was great. Winter feels so far away on sunshine days like this, I looked at the forecast for next week it is leaving us again, ☹️. I had a rest day yesterday and got caught up with all my washing and got it dried. Going to get some rays again today a combination walk / run I think.
