Yesterday was a run day. I faffed around and went far too late. It was boiling by 10am! As I was running along, a butterfly flew beside me, which would have been like something from a Disney film except for the fact I was bright red and sweating buckets. I’m not clever enough to take photos while actually running so once my cool down walk arrived, I went on a critter hunt.
Usually, there are bees, butterflies and flies all along the lane back down to my street. Nothing. Down to the village and not a critter to be seen. I headed for the stream thinking they might be hanging out there. Result! A couple of dragonflies. Unfortunately, neither of them were willing to be photographed and I nearly fell in the stream trying to chase them. Perhaps this challenge needs to come with a health and safety warning! By this point I was ready to give up and head home. Luckily, on the way I spotted this little guy having a lovely time on a flower. More tricky than I’d expected but a good outcome!
