The improvement to the path enables me to add almost 2 kilometers to my longer runs, by running around the 1.5K new paths doing a 10K run I don't need to run around the whole loch twice.
No swimming??
Certainly there is no swimming, sadly when the loch was dammed at the other end back in 1995 to allow a stream to fill what before was just very boggy ground a man died while swimming in the new loch.
Due to dangerous currents under the water no one is allowed to swim or ice skate for the same reason no matter how cold it is.
