This week I realised that my usual route used for my current walking and running is exactly 2.7 miles long!
So this morning, in drizzly, smudgy wet and muddy, rainy weather, I ran some of it, walked ca 1/3 of it. Exactly 2.7 miles, which - if I do manage to do this in some form of running or walking daily - gives me the 1000 miles!
Happy outings in blustery and wet weather, everyone! Or at least for those in the UK!

well done . Wish I was out today severe intolerant or allergy to soya last night sickness diarrhoea and fasting and light headed, really salty . So trying to rest today. Mr D away to restaurant to see if he can see what’s was in in sauce. Did u say u had intolerant to soya?
Mr D back from restaurant and they said my meal was gluten free but he checked to see the bottle of soya and it says 15% soya wheat ( contains gluten) so that was the culprit. Just as well I am not coeliac.
phew 😮💨 . Yes, I’ve lost my enthusiasm to go out to restaurants as I cannot control as much the ingredients. It’s sad to have such bad restaurant experiences, but I hear it happens pretty often. I haven’t travelled much since going gluten and dairy and soya free (3 ish years ago) but I would assume that’s even more difficult.
I’m so unused to thinking in miles that I had to convert it to km with my calculator to figure out how far that was. Looks like a pretty place to walk/run and really good to know that over a year, it adds up to 1000 miles.
Here it was absolutely chucking it down. I went for a run with a walk at the start and finish. I’m currently running exactly every other day as I’m coming back from an injury and I didn’t want to miss one. It was miserable to start with (my trainers filled up with freezing water due to the puddles) but a lot of fun when I warmed up again. A super wet walk/run makes me feel like a hero! About 4.5km in total today which I’m pleased with.
