my walk this morning at 6.30 am was my first since Tuesday as have been naughty and never got out in the mornings as nearly every morning lashing with rain, would have been drenched, and with working all day , not a evening walker in the dark. It stayed dry but plenty of puddles, trying to dodge the puddles before cars came and get soaked. 4 degrees this morning. Drop in temperature had gloves on for a while but got too hot. Only met one person on 6.5 km walk and that was 100 metres from home . Too dark for taking dogs out. My time was 1 hour 3 mins. Mr D was doing a 5 km but had a hamstring niggle again🙁 . Definitely need my porridge and banana this morning.
happy walking.

Good walk for you very early in the morning Doris8, can you not wait until the sun rises and its daylight which is what I do? nevertheless I am glad that you got out after having to stay at home for several days due to the rain..This morning I went a 12K walk, the weather wasn't all that good with light rain for a good part of the walk, I saw about 10 runners and also a few other walkers and one cyclist while I was walking.
Next Sunday instead of a 11K walk I intend to run for 21 kilometers, yes that's a half marathon, I have done that distance already two times, the first time it was mainly walking with a little running, the second time it was mostly running but I was around 500 metres short of the full half marathon distance, so hopefully next Sunday I will be able to run a full HM
I’m awake at that time and through the week we start work at 9 am so like to get my walk in before work. Early morning person. It’s very peaceful at that time . Well done on your walk and on your half marathon I wish u well.
