It seems like this page is a bit quiet at the moment, so I thought I'd post to see if anyone is still around. I started using the Active 10 app on 10th March to help me get some exercise and fresh air, as I'm having a tough time with depression and anxiety at the moment. I'm finding the app really helpful, as I like to see the totals gradually increasing and that often prompts me to get outside on days when I'm finding it difficult to do much. I've also joined couple of short "wellbeing walks" which are provided locally by the Ramblers and I think they do these in other parts of the UK as well. It makes a nice change to walk with other people sometimes, rather than always doing it on my own. It would be great to hear how other people are doing with their walking and with using the app.

Hi Tofler. Still walking but don’t use the walking app. Getting back on my New Years resolution task that was walking everyday but had a blip. Now back on again and do 4/5/km weekdays and longer on a Sunday. I walk I. My own because like to go out early mornings. Hope you enjoy your walks with the ramblers and get out more in the sunshine . Yes I check up on the app almost daily but my walking is now for errands rather than just for the sake of walking.
It is encouraging to see the minutes clock up isn't it.
But sometimes if the phone is in my bag it doesn't register as many brisk minutes. So I have to remember to keep it in my pocket.
It's lovely weather for walking at the moment isn't it.

Hi, I have given up on Apps as my phone just doesn't seems to be able to run more than one App at once and there is another one I need to use for work! I log my millage though and do virtual walking challenges. Last year I walked a virtual challenge (on the Conqueror Virtual Challenges) of the St Francis Way which was 312 miles, and I am currently walking (virtually ) the Camino de Santiago.My first virtual walk was to Mordor (if anyone is a Lord of the Rings fan) it took me years!!
Love walking, always do one or two miles per day

Hi Yes I’m walking almost every day and up to half hour. I have long covid so every time I try to do more I relapse. Missing my running (was fit n healthy before covid) but getting out every day is lovely.
