Thank you, pollyp1. I like the idea of climbing floors more than just doing the step count. For about 4 months last summer, I would climb 6 floors of a parking garage 5 times after walking there from home. I’d do that about 20 times/month. Then in the autumn we had fires in the wine country north of us. The air got bad and I stopped going and fell out of the routine. I am again concentrating on stair climbing in public buildings. Ideally, I’d walk the Stanford Dish which provides spectacular views, fresh air and climbing 36 floors over 3.6 miles. Soon, I hope.

It's an interesting idea. I try and average 10,000 steps a day (sometimes 8, sometimes - like today - 12) 5 days a week which I find fairly easy these days. 38 floors sounds so much more! And of course a lot of it is uphill... The Stanford Dish sounds lovely.
