Oh gosh, for the 3rd day in a row I can hardly move - everything from the waist down aches! It's an effort just to walk the 5 metres to the kitchen to make a cup of tea! I'm trying to stay positive - I know the pain and stiffness will pass eventually, but waiting for it to happen is so frustrating. I've taken medication and hope to get out later - even if it's just for a 300 step meander to the main road and back. Grrrr!
Frustration reigns again!: Oh gosh, for the 3rd... - Active 10
Frustration reigns again!
Hi there Kay
You haven't said why you are struggling to move but if it's to do with illness then you will get better (I see you have mentioned medication so I am guessing you have a condition) but you have said that the pain and stiffness will pass eventually. I know it's hard but try and focus on the small steps you can make working towards the day when you will be back to normal.
All the very best
Thanks crazyfitness - hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!
It will be for sure
Feel better soon Kay. I know you will be back out there when you are ready. I’ve been smitten with a temperature myself, so much going around.
Thanks Rfc - sorry you're feeling under par too.
The flu bug rules in our house at the moment but I’m managing to get up today and went out too did a bit. Hoping for a swim and the gym tomorrow can’t let this bug beat me .lol
Oh Dillwyn you are so brave! Just please don't do too much while you are ill - it can seriously hinder your recovery! But what a determined attitude!
Darn Kay, that stinks. Joints flaring up? I hate how that throws a wrench in the works, fortunately mine have been really good the past year.
Some days you just have to stick to the kitchen toodle.
Oh runswithdogs, I know, but I was so g'd up to go out today! But it's not all bad - I got a kindle at Christmas and set it up this afternoon. For a technophobe that's that's big - I've put it off for a week! Tomorrow will hopefully be a better day, and I'll get as far as the posh coffee shop!
Feel better soon!!
I’ve bought a fit bit and it’s still on my desk lol.
A fitbit is a threatening word in my house! I'm shocking - I'm one of those people of a certain age who still only uses a phone to send texts and make calls! Lol
Agree entirely I could be on a life treadmill thought it was a good idea at the time. Interested to see how many steps I do I working in the care home that sort of thing. The fact I haven’t set it up yet must say something.
Ha ha! I think you will be surprised at just how many steps you walk at work - there's a reason why carers are so exhausted when they finish work for the day! Such a worthwhile job but not an easy one, that's for sure.
