Welcome to our virtual walking group. We are here to support and encourage. I always find that being part of a group helps to keep the motivation going and makes it more fun.

Whatever the walking goals you are working towards is fine, it is all about encouraging each other to achieve those little goals as we progress.

Please feel free to post as many times as you like through the week and the at the beginning of the new week I will put a new post up. I'm going to number the posts but that's more for my benefit but if you want to use the weeks to set yourself goals please do.

Wishing you a happy healthy week and happy walking. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️😀😀😀.

Hi Realfoodieclub,

I rejoined the forum last week after a six month absence due to having to deal with numerous issues!! I have re-joined the Tuesday Trimmers and made a few changes to my lifestyle!!

I would like to join the Lets walk group please.

I am aiming for 4,000 steps a day for this month, increasing next month. However on Saturday just gone I out-did myself by taking part in a "parkrun" (although I walked and only completed 1 out of 2 laps - 2.5kilometres) pushing my steps for tat day to over 13,000!!

It was my first ever Park run (shuffle/ walk0 and I completd my lap in 36.48 mins -not too shabby for a first attempt!!

From this week I will post my total steps for each week on Tuesday mornings when I pot my trimmer results.

Hope that's OK

Hi there, welcome onboard. That sounds perfect, we like you to use all these forums In the way that works best for you. We are a supportive and encouraging bunch. Well done on your park run and your massive increase in steps. Take it steady with your increases the body like to adjust slowly and get used to them, the occasional blow out is good too 😀. Looking forward to being on Your journey with you.

Wow! Parkrun is a fantastic avenue for walkers. Ours is pretty new, and like yours we have a double-lap part. So some folks walk the entire 5km, others do the 3km loop. It's nice to be able to get out with other people and enjoy the regularity of it. So well done for you!

Fantastic. Im trying the same. This wèek started the gym and pushing myself to run/walk at last twice a week. All i can say don't give up. The struggle is hard, but this site has people who are going through the same. Good luck
