Sounds as if you perhaps are a bit run down too as conjunctivitis often occurs at times of stress, so take as much care of yourself as you are able to and I hope you soon feel better. x

I'm on 50mg Sertraline too. I was on Citalopram for a long time and the biggest difference I've noticed is that if i ever missed a dose of Citalopram, I'd feel the physical effects quite quickly, but nothing else. On Sertraline a missed dose has me in tears within a few hours!

I am on 50mg of sertraline to help me with an anxiety disorder linked to the menopause. I have had depression all my life. I have tried citalopram in the past which was ok, but sertraline has been a god-send. Very few side effects - a bit sweaty at night, temporarily a bit more anxious in first couple of weeks, but was aware of this so just kept talking myself through it. I feel so much calmer and have been able to approach my life in a more rational way. Exercise has helped enormously and I really look forward to my aerobics and pilates. Swimming is good too. There is a lot of rubbish and bad press surrounding anti-ds, and I am sure many people do have bad experiences. But this could happen with any drug and all I can say is that despite my reservations I have only had positive experiences. I also think good counselling and keeping in contact with your GP is essential.

Good luck
