Hi

I was diagnosed with a AN a couple of years ago it is a 4.5mm AN on my left side. I have a yearly MRI to see if it grows, due to see my consultant October time. I suffer really bad with tinnitus, it’s hard coping day to day when you know you have a tumour sitting there where it can grow.

I am good I try and work through the tinnitus, at the moment it’s really bad don’t know if it’s to do with cutting my Sertraline down to 25mg, is anyone else going through the same can Sertraline contribute to the tinnitus.

Hi , There is evidence that Sertraline, a SSRI , may contribute to or increase tinnitus . I use distraction to cope with symptoms ( left sided AN with central tinnitus), if you scroll through this site, you will find some useful suggestions .

Hi! I’m not sure about sertraline but I cut down on my amitriptyline and my tinnitus got so much louder… ( as did the neuropathic pain it has been prescribed for. ) I guess the only way of knowing is to up it again to see if it quietens. Have you spoken to your gp or pharmacist about any links?
