When I was little, I couldn’t sleep because it would itch so bad that it felt like I had bugs crawling on my body and the sensation would jump around in random places, could be on my ear then to my toes. I knew there weren’t any bugs on me but sometimes it would feel so real-I would double check. The itchy would get so severe Id cry because I couldn’t sleep. If I removed the blankets, I was cold but under the blankets-I itched more.
All my life I have had this. The dermatologist couldn’t figure it out. As an adult, I still have it. I notice throughout the day, I have the itchy bug sensation but it’s not as noticeable or bad until the nighttime. Sometimes at night, i barely feel like, some nights it’s extreme.
here is what it looks like during a severe episode-if I barely graze my skin then, it leaves more irritated marks.
The rash has been on my neck, face, chest, arms, legs and back. be anywhere on my body and eventually fades. If it isn’t a severe episode, then I see no rash but I itch.
Anyone? I’ve given up at this point and accepted my life as a bug crawling itchy mess.
