Want to get pregnant but I am emetophobic

My partner and I would like a baby, me especially, i’ve always wanted to be a mum. But there’s one thing holding me back, I am absolutely petrified (and have been my entire life) of vomiting and feeling sick, big problem in pregnancy of course. I am 20 now, the last time i threw up i was 5, so it’s been a very long time and I am just so scared of it, i’ve had therapy for the fear but it’s never gone away. However, my mum has had 3 pregnancies and she did feel sick but didn’t throw up once, so I am banking on that since morning sickness tends to be hereditary. Any reassuring comments about how you maybe didn’t get much morning sickness would be appreciated, even though i know every pregnancy is different Id love to be reassured! Also, would i be able to ask my GP for antiemetics off the bat, before my symptoms start? i desperately want to avoid it as best i can.

activated charcoal could be a safer alternative but please look into it first. I use it immediately at first sign of stomach upset but it does have to be taken apart from other medications & supplements because it will absorb them as well as the toxins that make you feel sick… so you must keep it at least 2 0 min apart. Good Luck…. Single Mom of 4 sons & I still wouldn’t trade my boys for anything. 😊

hi Lauren ,I was like you but the fear of nausea is actually worse than being sick. I am used to it now and I’m sure it’s worth it in the long run, suck polo mints ,worked for me in pregnancy .
