D-Mannose Cramps and Diarrhoea

As the title suggests, I do not seem to be able to tolerate d-mannose and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced the same?

I took 2 tablets yesterday whilst I waited to talk to my dr about uti symptoms, within hours I started getting cramps and had diarrhea- still not feeling great today.

I had previously tolerated one tablet, however the bottle said to take 3 and although I only took two I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced similar?

I have never taken this despite having recurring UTIs

You might find this info useful, you could also ask a Pharmacist for info..

Studies indicate that a dose level of 0.2 g/kg of body weight seems to be the upper limit for daily consumption of mannose for a long-term use, as higher doses may cause gastrointestinal disturbances (diarrhea, bloating)
