Hysteroscopy

hi ladies - I’ve got to have an hysteroscopy and I’m worried sick about the procedure.

I’ve had a novasure ablation done which was in 2017 I think so I know it can be more difficult to do because of scar tissue.

Has anyone else had a hysteroscopy after a ablation and was it very painful ?

I had a hysteroscopy a few years after Novosure and it was uncomfortable mainly. Painful when they take the sample. The doctor complained about the scarring which made it more difficult I didn’t realise that there might be a problem. Procedure took longer than I had expected and I felt rough afterwards. Had to go straight to bed when I got home. Good luck and do rest afterwards.

Morning Lolamum - this is my worry.

Apparently after the novasure procedure it makes it more difficult because of the scarring and it should be done under a GA.

Thanks for your reply x

I have a fairly low pain threshold and managed with just local anaesthetic. not a very nice experience depends on what options there are for you xx

Thank you - I had my last one under a GA but I think I’ve not got the opinion of it this time. How long did it take do you think ?

It’s horrible what us women have to go through xx
