Hi

Not 100% but I might have it? I’ve been on a long period for the first time and doctor has given me tablets to control the heaviness. Has anyone have this how long have you experience bleeding for?

Help and advice really much appreciated xx

My daughter has heavy bleeding, but normal period lengths; she probably has endometriosis (can't know for sure unless they do a laparoscopy).

Did your doctor prescribe tanexamic acid? It is interesting since it has anti-inflammatory properties - which you would not expect since it can be pro-thrombotic, but biology is full of unexpected things.

Have you considered asking your doctor for a scan to see if it’s fibroids they can also cause heavy periods. That’s if the medication doesn’t help that’s been prescribed.
