Has anyone here ever had a Hydrosalpinx? I have it in my left side. Had it well discovered I’ve had it last year in June. After going for a scan. Was meant to go back but couldn’t. If anyone has it had? Does it cause pain? It doesn’t normally cause me much pain but tonight it’s causing me a lot of pain like a extremely bad cramping pain in my lower stomach. Is this normal it’s making my anxiety get the better of me

Hi yes I have one. Left side also. I had ultrasound and ct scan Incase of infection but can’t find anything. I’ve been to see gynaecologist and they’ve said I can keep it or have it removed but if I can keep it may cause issues with getting pregnant and ectopic etc
HiThanks, yes if your trying for kids your taking a chance without having complications. I’ve already got 3 kids so I’m happy to juts stay without having surgery. Do you ever have pain at all.
Did they tell you how big yours was? She told me I could keep it but when I said I do get aches around ovulation she said maybe have it removed with it causing pain but it’s not painful it’s just twinges. I have two children but I did tell her I wasn’t sure if I was stopping at two x

Yes I choked today the doc said abiut 5inches so not to worry cause other then pregnancy it won’t do harm. Yes I’m due my period in abiut 13 days so I’m most prob ovulating I juts had bad cramping pains last night. How about you what’s the size of yours. If you do want more kids? Have it removed hun it’s nothing like becoming pregnant then loosing your precious baby after all the carrying.
Eh? Do you mean 5cm? Mines 5cm and she told me it was quite big 5inch is like 12cm! I think they’re meant to be 1.5cm. Xx
Yes hun sorry that’s right. Okay when my doctor told me the size she wasn’t too worried told me it’s not big she didn’t tell me what it should be I forgot to ask
Yeah mine wasn’t worried cos she said we can leave it in. 🤣 it’s horrible isn’t it. Do you have to have it monitor I never even asked a I said I’ll have it removed she did say if it’s affected my ovary they may have to remove that too 😓
When I went for th scan last year in June that’s when they saw it. They looked at my other organs and said it’s all good. To be honest apart from the odd pains it doesn’t really bother me but my tummy looks quite big I’m not sure if it’s the previous pregnancy or the hydro there’s no way I’m going for surgery don’t think I’ll hack it. Which part of the world are you in hun xx
Yeah they found mine on ultrasound and send me for ct to see if I had an infection. But just showed fluid inside tube. Been to seen gynaecologist and she was the one who said to remove it if I wanted. I’m in the U.K.

Don’t do anything without consulting your gynecologist first. My doctor is sending me for another scan just to see where we are. Just for reassurance. Been nice chatting to you. Updating you I had mine removed. It was filled with blood. Also found endometriosis while they were down there x

Oh wow thank you for letting me know, I’m so sorry. How you feeling now? Was all this recent. I went back for another scan and they didn’t find anything apparently it went away? So not sore what happened but I was so relieved. What do you need to do now? It’s so good of you to let me k ow but truly hope your okay. Sending positive vibes

They removed the tube, and that was it she’s told me to take the contraceptive pill or go in the coil to prevent the endo from getting worse. Not sure why I had blood in the tube I didn’t have chance to ask but after looking it can be caused by endometriosis and pelvic inflammatory disease and other things such as Fallopian tube cancer which I’m obsessed with and think I have 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ No follow up she said but I’m waiting on report from histology as apparently they sent parts off when removed from body so I’m anxious about it but she didn’t seem concerned about it.
I have one on my right side. Found it during scans too. Every once in awhile I cramp sort of like bad period pains.my doctor has me go in for ultra sounds to check to see if it has gotten any bigger. Not sure how long I have had it but for now it is stable and doesn’t seem to be bothering me. I have had a hysterectomy (ovaries were left because they were healthy and I was 32) so my doctor is not concerned at the moment .
