Hi

Do you need a blood check when on the pill and do you need one during or before starting it and who can you see for it

Yes, you need regular blood pressure checks when on the pill. Every 3 or 6 months if I recall correctly. The nurse will do this for you.

Times have certainly changed then. I was on the pill from 1973-1976 and never had a single blood test, all I ever did was renew my prescription.

They don't do blood tests, it's just blood pressure checks. They will do a blood test if you have a family history of blood clots though!
