Hello : I’m having a very difficult time handling my anxiety lately - between Covid shutting our business down - my daughter experiencing her 2nd miscarriage & an upcoming diagnostic mammogram to check for abnormal findings. I’m feeling on the verge of tears most days & feel extremely unwell. I take Lexapro 10mg daily but am wondering if I should take Ativan too. I do speak with a counselor monthly. Any advice for me?
Thank you !

🤔 It might make your situation worse to deal with if you mix these medications. But, speak to your doctor for advice.
Using LORazepam together with escitalopram may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination.
The current situation has made things extremely uncertain, those of us who work may find employment being an issue, and those of us with family business’s are finding things very difficult.
I’m so sorry your daughter had a miscarriage, mine experienced similar, but she did go on to have a healthy baby. And, on top of that, it must be especially distressing waiting for results of an upcoming mammogram.
I’m glad you have the support of a counsellor, there are times when talking things over with someone outside the family circle can really help.
My only advice would be acceptance. Accept that because of all these things that sre happening it is normal that you won't feel at your best. Once you can do this (which is easier said than done) your symptoms will decrease.
