I had one recently. The doctor ordered a urine culture, which is the best way to know if you have an infection and what kind. But since you said you had all the symptoms, in that case they usually don't wait and give you antibiotics. You can have a culture after you finish the antibiotics to check if the infection is gone. That's what I did
