Yep I’m 56 not had a period for two years except for a 5 day bleeds that the doctors told me it was probably cancer, without any tests.

I still have the hot flushes (saved me a fortune this year) lol.

I also have fibromyalgia cfs/me depression agoraphobia and everything else that likes to jump on the bandwagon.

Does anyone still get really severe backache every month like period pain?

I apologise in advance for not being able to thank you for any replies. I hope you understand

Thanks

Cancer? With no tests?! What a terrible thing to do - throwing out that diagnosis with no proof? I hope they plan to do a little more checking. I have been hugely irregular for the past three years (I am 50). I was put on some bioidentical hormones and after having made it almost six and a half months without a period... the hormones she put me on brought one on. It was very short and very light but I was not happy. I've been ready to be through menopause ever since I had my last child 18 years ago! To answer your question, since starting the hormones I'm feeling much better but the couple of times I've had a little bleeding over the last year I have had some back pain but nothing that was unusual compared to previous periods when I was more regular. I really hope you will get some follow-up testing done and I wish I could be more helpful. I wish you the best.
