I gave birth to my LG 23 weeks ago. 6 weeks postnatal I went to see GP as I had the odd bad pelvic pain. They sent to to Gynecology ward at local hospital for a US scan. All was okay, just put it down to body recovering.
It all settled down other than the odd pain but over the past 3-4 weeks I've had really strong pains in my ovaries. ***TMI*** sex most of the time is absolutely agonsing! And I feel like my cervix is being ripped out. I have booked a GP appt but its mid next month as they are booked up due to post festive rush.
I haven't had a period since giving birth and I haven't been bleeding but I keep having jelly and slimey like discharge with blood in but it is weird as it isn't a period and is coming out consistently.
Anyone have any ideas what this could be or has the same issues! I just want to be out of pain.
Thanks

🤔 Blood loss and discomfort can be expected for a while after childbirth, but what you describe sounds like it needs a medical opinion. Can you speak to a Midwife at your local Health Centre, or go to a Walk-in Clinic.
Blood loss (lochia)
Vaginal discharge after childbirth is called lochia – a mix of blood and other products from inside the uterus. At first it is bright red, and then becomes a pinkish brown, turning to cream. It can be quite heavy at first, requiring several changes of sanitary pads a day. After the first week it slows down, but you may find it lasts three or four weeks before finally disappearing. If you start to lose fresh red blood or clots, have abdominal pain or notice an offensive smell, you should inform your midwife or doctor. However, some fresh red blood loss is normal after a breastfeed.
