Hi I am 47 years old and am struggling with premenopausal .
I also have anxiety which I am taking medicine for but my worst downfall is using alcohol to help unwind after a stressful day . This is causing my weight gain and I would like tips on how else to unwind and how others manage weight gain due to menopause

Maybe go for a walk when you come home and then take a shower or relaxing bath. There are many alternatives to alcohol such as joining a support group to talk it out meditation mindfulness yoga etc. Sorry my comma button is broken.
Hi, I’m also going through perimenopause with anxiety being the worst symptom. I find yoga is the best thing for it. I use YouTube yoga channels like yoga with Adrianne and Sarabethyoga. They usually do short sessions from10 mins to a full hour. Try and see if it helps?
Do you know that alcohol actually causes more anxiety? And it can lead to what is called alcohol depression. It might seem as if it helps in the short run, but in the long run it will only bring you extra problems aside from weight gain. So good for you to try and find other things
I would suggest like HealthBuddyMelissa that go out to do things rather than staying at home as that could lead to you sitting down and drinking. Walks, yoga, mindfulness, art class...
