Menopause?

I had a hysterectomy 6 months ago and ever since then my sex drive has vanished, I'm having hot flashes and I'm completely agitated and irritable. Think I've started menopause. What helps for my situation?

I REALLY FEEL FOR YOU, I WAS 24 WHEN I HAD MINE, 6MTHS ISNT A LKONG TIME, TRY HAVING CLOSENESS WITHOUT GOING ALL THE WAY, BUILD UP TO MAKING IT VERY SPECIAL BOOK A WEEKEND AWAY SOMEWHERE ROMANTIC WHERE YOU CAN BOTH FOCUS ON EACH OTHER, BUY YOURSELF SOME BEAUTIFUL LINGERIE...... WHATEVER YOU DO PLEASE DONT PRESSURE YOURSELF, ITS A MASSIVE OP YOUVE BEEN THROUGH IF YOU REALLY FEEL LIKE YOU CANNOT COPE, SPEAK TO YOUR GP ABOUT A BLOOD TEST TO CHECK YOUR LEVEL OF HORMONE AND THEN IF NEEDED START SOMETHING TO HELP EITHER GO THE NATURAL ROUTE OR HRT.

I WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST JUST REMEMBER YOUVE PLENTY OF TIME.

HRT (hormone replacement therapy) is what I use..stopped to dreaded hot flashes and night sweats (plus mood swings) altogether! I'm 71 and my doctor prescribed these for me a couple of years ago...lots of doctors won't prescribe them to "old ladies" like me, but my doctor is very open minded and sensitive, so I was able to convince him to let me take them!
