Night sweats....Menopause

Hello I wondered if anyone knows of any remedies to help with awful night sweats I've been having. . The bed clothes need changing in the night and obviously I need to get up and wash and change my own clothes. My hair ranges between sticking to my head and literally dripping. It's ridiculous how much sweat I'm losing. Thing is, when I uncover myself to cool off, I carry on sweating, but it's cold! Had anyone else experienced this? Please any advice would be so welcome. Sleep deprived here 😕xx

Go and get some HRT, it did wonders for me, I kept asking for a check to determine I was in menopause, because id had hysterectomy age 24, and started getting sweats depressed around same time as I had other medical problems., so eventually when I got the tests, they came back positive and I started HRT best thing ever, ive finally stopped constantly sweating, I still hve the bedroom fan on occasionally but nothing like before.

good luck

Thankyou Caz for the reply. I'm a bit nervous if the HRT route as my mum had a bad experience but will find out more about it if I can't do anything else at all. Thankyou again and best wishes xx

Sorry to hear about your terrible suffering it's hell for a lot of women. My advice would be search the net and there you will find lots of advice. The thing is I found is that's there's no one thing that works for all women apart from HRT but unfortunately that wasn't an option for me. I tried many different remedies. I lost weight, gave up caffeine, alcohol,,tried supplements, exercised, practise yoga and meditation. I remember thinking would I ever get a normal nights sleep again! I run a business single handed and thought at one stage life is all getting unbearable,I constantly took my anger and frustration out on my teenage son. Over time I started to feel better. Remember your not on your own.

It really is too much this process we have to endure. I think first go and speak with your doctor and ask his advice, then based on your research and his advice make the changes little by little and see what suits you your body and lifestyle.

Wishing you all the best, kind regards Julie.

Thankyou so much Julie, it really helps to remember I'm not the only one suffering. I shall take all the advice and see how I feel in a couple of weeks. I'm worried about HRT as my mum had a terrible growth in her tummy after coming off it. Within a few weeks she looked 6 months pregnant and ended up with a mis diagnosis and a hysterectomy. It was terrible time for her and all of us. So I'm thinking more small changes as you suggest. Best wishes to you too xxx

I read where someone suggested taking Primrose Oil. She said it worked for her. Ive just read that Black Cohosh also can stop them. I have terrible hot flashes also. My face and hair drip with sweat!! It usually occurs during the day for me. Today I was shopping and trying on clothes and all of a sudden it started. I was so embarrassed as I looked awful. The sales lady got me a wet paper towel to wipe off on. I just bought the Primrose Oil and Black Cohosh and started them as soon as I got home... Will report back as soon as I have results. Good luck and let me know if you find something that works.
