Fibroid in uterus

Hello.

Recently, I was discovered with a fibroid in the uterus. I think its been acting up.. causing abnorma bleeding and intense cramps. I dont know if thats a norm with a fibroid but the doc said it is.. i still want to get pregnant. Has anyone gotten pregnant with fibroids? Are there natural ways to shrink them or even cure them? Since, my doc wants to keep monitoring it and ordered for a sonohysteriogram. I never had it before so I am somewhat nervous. Does anyone know if it is painful??

The external scan's not at all painful, it's like a baby scan, If they do an internal scan that's just a tad uncomfortable.

There are lots of different types of fibroids that cause different issues for different people, so best to check out soon in case it impacts on your fertility & needs to be removed.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, my doc mentioned if I wanted to get pregnant then they need more details incase of needed surgery. Ty!

usually a scan for fibroids is done vaginally so they can see where they are and how large they are. it is a bit uncomfortable, but not more than a vaginal exam.
