🙂 It’s only natural to be apprehensive when you’ve never had a general anaesthetic, if you explain this to the anaesthetist I’m sure they’ll be sympathetic and try to put your mind at rest. This procedure is usually straightforward, I haven’t had it myself but someone I know recovered well afterwards, and the problem didn’t reoccur.
I have had minor operations that required general anesthetic a few times. The first two ops I was very sick with nausea. The last one I had was like I’d never had the anesthesia. A friend told me she was the same and she asked the anesthesiologist if there was anything to help with her nausea. Apparently they put an anti nausea drug. It definitely helped me. I don’t know if you’ll suffer with this. Have a talk to your health professionals regarding this.
Good luck with your operation. Prayers and big hugs are coming your way.
I have had this procedure done. Honestly it wasn’t too bad. It felt very similar to the biopsy procedure (I can’t remember the technical name for it right now). Afterwards I was given some sort of antibiotic type cream that had to be inserted for a few days following.
