I am 59 and and being through the menopause I had some issues with spotting through out the Years had tests nothing sinister but today I had a massive bleeding clots and unfortunately that happened while I was at the doctors about the spotting I had again for the past week and while I was sitting I felt that horrible sensation that I was bleeding heavily my clothes were soaked in blood the doctor bless him was very kind he wanted me to go to the hospital he phoned them up and they said all they would is give me tranexamic acid so he gave me some until I can get seen at gynaecologist clinic rapid response has anyone else had the same problem my last ever period was in 2013 and that was medically induced by zoladex I hate my body for letting me down I have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis as it is

Hi sounds absolutely awful, least it happened whilst at the doctors surgery. Could you perhaps have fibroids and was it ever mentioned? I do hope they sort it all out for you quickly.
Have you been having regular smear tests ? My recent appt with Gynae on the 2 week pathway referral thankfully turned out ok but she said spotting and a sudden bleed require urgent investigation.
