Menopause
Hi, I am no expert on the menspause but I have been chatting with friends who are at different stages on that journey! I am peri menopausal but still having periods. From our chats it doesn't seem like having a heavy period after many years of almost nothing necessarily means the end of the menapause. Perhaps you want to check with a medical professional who might be able to give you a better idea. The joy of being a woman 😕 Take care X
Hello I am 55 been up and down with Bleeding have now been told i am Post menopause and because the bleeding was recurring i was sent to the hospital for a Scan.
9th Aug 2018. Had Scan then Internal Scan and then a Biopsy as my Lining of my Womb was over 10mm.
Biopsy done and was told it could be one of two things Atypical Heperplasia which is Cancer or Typical which is not. Results she said would be two weeks.
Today 17th Aug 2018 a Gynaecologist from Hospital phoned to tell me it was Endometrial Hyperplasia he said for this to turn into cancer would take at least 20yrs). He told me it can be treated with either Progesterone Tablets or a Merina Coil. I opted for the Merina Coil as my daughter had one and got on OK.
How have you found yours and is it helping.?
I did not know you could have them for after the menopause.
How long do you have it for?
Have you had a follow up?
P.S It is normal to bleed while you are going through the Menopause but to Bleed after the menopause is a cause for concern.
Have you had a blood test to see if you are post meopausal
