Help?
Hi Amy, I too am sad right now. I have had continuous uterine bladder and ovary pain for the past 4 weeks on mini pill. I have a history of PID. I am sorry you are feeling alone. I too know what this is like. I try to pray meditate sit in the sun pray to archangel Raphael to take away my pain. Would you like to say what women's problems you have sweety?
Hi AmyMe. I am sorry to hear you are feel of such sorts. I hope that I or someone else can help and lead you to feeling much better! Depression and anxiety do not just spontaneously occur. They are symptoms of something else, as there is always a cause. Have you had a complete medical work up? Which tests and what are your results and the lab ranges?
Boodie brought up valid points about female hormones. You say that you do not have female body problems? I assume then that you had all of your female hormones tested recently?
Misdiagnosed low thyroid and under medicated low thyroid is a common of cause anxiety and depression. What are your TSH, FT3 and FT4 levels, including the lab range?
What is your Vitamin D level? Low D can cause depression and anxiety.
What are your iron panel results, including ferritin and the other components? Low iron can contribute to depression and anxiety.
What are you B12 results? Low B12 can make a person feel very bad.
Diet can of course contribute to all kinds of symptoms. What does your diet consist of?
I take supplements. (D, magnesium, triomegas, etc) I have perfect thyroid levels (everyone looks for that everytime but nope that's good). I supplements iron etc too because teeth bad. My diet is not the best (poverty) but I am very educated in what foods are mood foods and what foods can trigger depression. I do my best.
Hi AmyMe. I'd really like to be able to help you, and I'm sure other people would, too. We really need details so that we can try to help you. Great that you take Vitamin D, but that doesn't mean you are not Vitamin D deficient. Has your Vitamin D level been tested recently? What is your Vitamin D level? If you have not been tested, you need to be. If your level is too low, this will cause many symptoms.
What are "perfect thyroid levels"? If you read over on the thyroid forum, you will find endless stories about doctors telling patients that their thyroid levels are good, when they are not. Just because you fall somewhere in the range, does not mean that your levels are "perfect". It's a huge range! If BOTH thyroid hormones are not in the right part of the range, then you will have symptoms.
When was your thyroid last tested and what are your TSH, FT3, FT4 and thyroid antibody results? If your doctor is only testing TSH and Total T4, which is the wrong test, or some other incomplete combination of tests, then they don't know how to assess the thyroid. It needs to be the three listed above. You need to test antibodies too because those three tests can look good, but you could have high antibodies, and this will give you all kinds of symptoms.
Iron for teeth?? Iron is not taken for teeth. Iron is taken to have healthy blood iron levels. Low iron levels can cause depression and anxiety. Have you had an iron panel tested lately? If you have teeth problems, are you brushing twice a day and flossing daily? If you describe your teeth problems, I can help you figure out how to help that problem. I come from a family of dentists.
What foods do you eat every day? Whole foods? Do you eat gluten, any processed foods, sugary foods? I am on a limited diet and am budget conscious, too. Because of my health issues, I am gluten free and only eat whole foods.
I'm sorry. You're really asking a lot of questions and I've already told you I get tested regularly and I've been through all this with my doctors. I trust them and I don't feel like going over in minute detail my lab results which have been extensive. I'm here because I'm lonely and anxious and depressed and I want to know I'm not alone. My medications are probably not high enough dosage & have made appt to see prescriber tomorrow. Thank-you for your interest and taking the time to ask and care but at this time this is not what I want to focus on.
Hi AmyMe. You're welcome. You don't need to apologize. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry. Your headline says "Help?", so I thought you wanted help and were trying to figure things out and needed help. I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions.
There is always a cause of symptoms. Increasing medication might help you feel better but the root cause of the symptoms is always still there. I hope you can figure things out and that you feel better soon.
Just remember that you are not alone! I have been where you are before I finally found out the cause of my symptoms.
Please take care.
xoxo
