CA 125

My CA 125 test result 181 . I am so scared. I do have fibroid and endometriosis. also same day of the blood test I started my period. All these effects for my CA test? Should I take another CA125 test after 1 week? Or any other test to confirm?

Hi gogo, CA 125 is a blood test to show markers for tumors. I am not sure, myself exactly what the numbers mean. You should talk to your doctor asap. Peace and good thoughts are with you. Krazy-girl

Thank you kraut-girl. I did transvaginal ultrasound today and I will get my result on Monday hopefully good news.

I had a transvaginal ultrasound/probe done Tuesday and found out today that surgery is in my future. But it's done robotically now. Will pray everything goes good for you! Let me know! Peace, Krazy-girl

Hi Gogo.

I have only just seen your post. How are you feeling now? Seen GP yet?

I am not medically qualified but if you are still concerned then may I suggest you Google " NHS choices CA125 test"?

It says on there that CA125 can be raised due to other (benign) conditions including fibroids and Endometriosis.

The next step following raised CA125 result is for your GP to arrange Ultrasound scans - Abdominal and Transvaginal.

Have you had constant bloating for 3 weeks or more?

Thanks Mary for your opinions. Yes, I did transvaginal ultrasound and I am going to see GP on this coming Wednesday also I am ordering myself from walkinlab.com

for woman cancer test which includes CA-125, CA-19 CA-15 etc
