penicillin shot making me feel worse ?

so i found out i had strep throat and my doctor gave me a penicillin shot as treatment and now i feel 10x worse .

Could you have a chance of being allergic?

There's different kinds of penicillin and I know I'm allergic to 1.

i don't think so. ive gotten this shot before but it was about 5 years ago & it helped then .

Allergies can develop at any time

I hope that by now you have either gotten better or gone back to your doctor.

Sometimes symptoms herx after starting antibiotics. However if after 2 -3 days you are not feeling any better, you need to see your doctor as soon as possible. It's possible for bacteria to become resistant to a particular antibiotic.
