3 day period, stopped, now spotting?

Hello,

I got my period a week earlier, and it only lasted for 2 1/2 days. This is very unusual for me as i am never early and i normally last for about 6 days. Anyways after that 2 1/2 days of me being on i stopped completely for a day but when i went to the toilet this morning blood was coming out, and now im spotting i think? Can anyone help, i am trying to conceive but i do not want to get my hopes up for no reason. Has anyone ever experienced this before. Please let me know.
