Weight loss Tips and guide

Hi All,

I just thought of sharing my knowledge on weight loss and healthy living. I am overweight but i was obese before. I lost more than 10 -20 kgs in last few years. I lost and gained and tried again lost now i am trying to lose and maintain my weight

Its easy to lose weight but its hard for keeping it off. Don't do any fad diet like GM diet/ Egg diet/ Water fasting. These diets will help you lose weight but will once you are off it you will gain all the weight back and few more. I have tried a few of them and gained weigh back after i fell off the wheel. So don't try unless you want to gain few more kgs.

Try to change a small habit like eating junk snack with eating nuts / fruits like apple,orange. Try to eat Indian gooseberry in the morning it will help with fiber. Do one change and practice it until it becomes a habit.

Walk to shopping,office / any place that you can daily.

Do sleep for 8 hours every night it will reduce the stress which will reduce your body fat. Drink more water (4L a day).

If you can do some weight training (dumbell / push-up ) and cardio (running /fast walking / rowing / jumping in place ) every day.

All these things should become your habit by practice then you will be in your ideal weight in no time.

Foods that are good for Fat loss: (90% eat these foods)

Water (3-4 l)

Black Coffee

Green Tea

Beans

Indian Gooseberry in the morning empty stomach

Bitter gourd

quinoa

Celery

Fruits like lemon,orange,grape fruit (not grapes)

Fish (not fried)

Chicken (skinless roasted / boiled / grilled not fried)

All types of nuts

Turkey (not fried)

Tofu

Tempe (fermented tofu)

Food to limit (not avoid but limit) as these are need for body to function (75% of time avoid)

Rice

Wheat

White bread.

Foods to avoid (90% of time avoid)

Pizza

Fast foods

Chips

Fizzy drinks

deep fried foods

Try to eat good food 90% and 10% enjoy other foods. No one can eat healthy 100% of time so enjoy when you want to but next meal get back to healthy eating.

PS: I am not a doctor / PT / nutritionist so don't follow anything i say blindly. Research all the above points in internet and consult a doctor before doing any physical activity.

  • Check your premises Sada, "All these things should become your habit by practice then you will be in your ideal weight in no time"; you seem to be promising for everyone what you haven't achieved yourself.

    Rice, wheat, and white bread are not essential for the body to function; the human race evolved before agriculture.

    "Try to eat good food 90% and 10% enjoy other foods. No one can eat healthy 100% of time"; this implies that healthy food is not enjoyable, and that 10% of what we eat should be junk. There is no necessity to eat junk. If you crave that rubbish, it is a symptom that something is wrong with your diet.

    If I had to drink that much water, I'd seldom be out of the toilet.
