Hi

in regards to exercise, im not sure what you can do but try have a look into low impact exercises such as cycling indoor or outdoor or any exercises in a swimming pool.

The best thing i bought myself was an electric steamer, great for cooking veg and chicken breasts / fish keeps all the goodness, easy to use and made food taste as i remember it as a kid, can cook a complete meal in one go and saves on washing up.

Thanks so much for the advice. I lost feeling to the right side of my body 7yrs ago after choking on some food. Drs thought. Was stroke but test said it wasn't, but I have fort hard to try & get as much use as possible back even tho no feeling, but weight loss is beating me at moment.

But am willing to try anything and everything so steamer shopping for hubby 2moro!

Big thanks and angel hugs.

Hi

its a pleasure, im on the same journey and to be honest ive come to love it.

Lost over 70kg now and its taken a just over a year, had its hardpoints but aim small and hit big in the longterm. Im still on the road to my goal, but the goal has changed as ive travelled, and definitely taking me in a direction i would never have thought about.

learning to eat healthy is like learning to ride a bike - You may fall off but pick yourself up, get back on and in the end you will get there.

On my fridge ive posted a sign.

"Eat to live - Dont Live to Eat"

I like that moto! I have a slow cooker which you can cook anything in. I make lots of soups, use any veg you like and if you like meat you can put that in too as well a stock cube.

Just remember to take off all the fat and skin if there is any. You just bung it all in mixed it up, leave it for a few hours and it's there when you need it. Tuck in to as much or as little as you like anytime. Just try and keep off the bread.

Good luck.

Good luck mitzymoo - I too am on the first week of my new healthy eating plan - I make a pan of veggie soup that see's me ok for a good few days, I keep it in a airtight container in the fridge and take what i need for lunches and dinners. Ive got used to not having bread with it now. You take care and get intouch if you need support and we can support each other :-)

Hi agen,

I've read your introduction and well I think we've got some things in common, and if you need a friend any time I'm here for you, I check my messages often so just drop me a line.

I do crafts to try and keep as much use in my hand as possible, making cards, knitting and making jewellery. It keeps me busy and sane!

After loosing my mother in law i became attracted to angels, we used to buy her everything to do with angels and I think she's influenced me to carry it on. I feel really calm and safe when i'm doing anything with them.

I'll make you one and I'll ask them to watch over you.

Take care Angel big hugs xx

Hi babyboo2

Thankyou so very much for your idea and I would really like to take you up on your offer of support.

I'm having a rough time at moment, I had gastric sleeve op 2yrs ago and have lost 9st. Was 31st8 originally!

But now I'm in alot of pain as I found out I'm double jointed and loosing all that fat from round the ligaments has left them unsupported and now I can dislocated knees & hips very easily! I still need to loose atleast 7st, 10 to make dietician happy! If it is possible!!

It's a vicious circle loosening some more weight will help relieve the strain on my joints, but I struggle to exercise safely to loose the weight. Especially as balance is crap due to lack of feeling in right side! Vet would've put me down for less!! haha.

I hope I haven't scared you off with my epic hard knock story.

Take care and angel hugs {~¿¤} xx
