Just had my first weigh in after a week and I've lost 3 1/2 pounds. Yipee! Still a long way to go though. Got some good recipes from the nhs Change4 Life site which suit all the family too. Give the website a try. Some good ideas for a healthier lifestyle.

Quite a lot of folks reckon the recipes - and some of the ideas behind them - from the Hairy Dieters book / website.
Quite a lot of the differences between high and low calorie and fat meals are 'transferable' between dishes, e,g. lower calorie substitutes, techniques, etc.

Yeah I saw a few comments re the Hairy Bikers. In fact I'm watching them now (the gourmet version!). I'll have a look at the diet version. Thanks.

well done on your first week. planning is the key to success so go for it. People on the site and who i know are recommending the hairy bikers book so that may be an option. good luck
