Personally I find it harder to get out of the house to do some proper exercise - especially in winter. I mean, not eating a bag of Monster Munch is a simple decision, right? On the other hand going for a bike ride requires me to make a decision and then haul myself off the sofa and go and actually do it.

Or do you mean which one will make you lose more weight? Tricky, but as I understand it a snickers bar takes ages to burn off through exercise, so probably best not eat the chocolate!

It seems that we can lose weight if we eat correctly. We will not lose weight by exercise alone, but will get fitter. It is not possible to eat uncontrollably and then work it off. Some people put on weight when they exercise because they underestimate how much energy they are burning.

Research shows that people who combine diet with physical activity are more successful at losing weight and keeping it off.

Physical activity doesn't have to be pounding the pavements or punishing gym sessions. Gentle activities such as walking and reducing time spent sitting down will help.
