Well done on losing 10kgs in 4 months the scales are heading in the right direction which is pleasing for me to read as I literally just started Mounjaro 2.5mg today Sunday 26th January 2025 for first time, I've had a mix of excitement and rather daunted at the same time as read so much about weight loss injections with positive and some side effects, could you reveal if you've had any side effects during your initial period, I've tried everything diets, orlistat oral tablets so this is my next journey, look forward to any advice you and other's on Mounjaro how it's working ๐
Yes that's fine, in your own time, no hurry enjoy your breakfast, I'm back to gym Monday to do some cardio on x-trainer then sit down weights, and finish with walk on treadmill, can't wait for fairer weather to go Mtn Cycling not necessarily summer just milder dryer weather, it's going to to be an interesting first week to see if the mounjaro kerbs the consumption of food that I will be watching from today as this is day One of weight loss, I'm all in with this journey as I've got initial goal in weight loss but a lot more over a period of 1 year, I wish you well as your ahead of me, next month I'll be going up to 5mg with increase monthly all being well. I wish you well going forward.
That's so important you've found what works for you dancing swimming to which I enjoy in the sea and you like walking to which I really enjoy along canals, forestries etc, but weather is awful at the moment, so it'll be indoors January then something but soon as weather eases ill be out walking. ๐
Hi, i am glad it's working.I am trying to get Mounjaro injections from Gp but it's very difficult. How did you get from them? If you please advise me that would be great. Thank you ๐

I buy mine (with a private prescription) but have spoken to others who are eligible on the NHS the rollout is still slow. So be persistent and keep trying if you meet the criteria. I think over the next few years the rules will relax and the drugs will also become cheaper.
I am very happy about your weight loss. Also I am trying to do this long time. Tomorrow I will talk to My GP.if he can help me out. Good luck!!!๐๐
ive been on mounjarno since June and lost 5 stone since then, i stopped at 10mg as stronger made me feel sick and I think in hindsight I would have stopped at 7.5,! I had endless cravings for food which i dont have anymore, I dont eat choc cheese pasta etc but fill up on veg and protein, feel much more in control than before, good luck on your journey
I am not eligible as well, I have to pay. I started with Mounjaro 2.5 mg, didn't help me at all. I only struggled with side effects, I might buy 5 mg to see if it may make any difference. At the same time its expensive. Just worrying what to do I also tried many years for different exercise or diet programmes it doesn't really helped . I hope NHS makes things easier for us so we can get it quicker and much cheaper๐
My son has to pay as the chat with his NHS GP resulted in informing him that he would have to wait . He pays privately and I can see a difference when we meet up which is only occasionally so I do notice . He reports his appetite has dropped but I have noticed he still eats junk food . His eating habits in terms of nutrition have to change . Many are taking this with no eating plan or modification. I hope he seeks guidance as he wonโt listen to me . It would have been better if he got these via the NHS as privately you just get the medication and nothing else
