Good morning, Bluelady-sing.

In the past year, you've written a post like this 10 times: the weight has never varied by more than 2kgs. You've also made several posts saying you've lost X amount, or a picture of food.

As a forum member, it's impossible for me to say anything helpful in reply to these posts. I've no idea what plan you're following, if any. I've no idea what adjustments you've made, or are willing to make.

This forum works by being interactive, i.e. we exchange ideas and support each other: it's a mutual, two-way thing. It's set up for that with a weigh-in, a daily diary for logging meal plans etc, an exercise/activity post, a recipe-sharing post, an alcohol-management post, a book club and various short-term challenges. You are, as always, welcome to join any of these, give us a proper idea of your plans and how they're going over a period of time, spend time getting to know others and encourage them along the way - but these minimal, disconnected, stand-alone posts are never going to help you engage with the forum and get the best out of it.

As a reminder, this is where you'll find all the posts I've mentioned healthunlocked.com/weight-l...

Good luck :)

Hi blue. I really don’t think so!

I think she was just trying to encourage you to engage more and actively contribute in ways that will benefit you. I’m a long time lurker but I could not pass by without response. Please tell me a bit about yourself. I would especially like to know about your singing 🎶.

Take care . Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am 47 and my weight 67.9kg now. I'm following the Victoria's secret model diet which is hard work because it involves diet and exercise you have to pre-plan all your meals and you have to know when you've got time to work out but it's a great way of keeping myself focused.

Although they say I've got a normal bmi I've got polycystic ovaries.

I don't know what I've decided yet about stop having a family but I'll need to keep my weight in check.

What is your story?

hi blue.

I’m surprised you are attempting to lose weight at 67 kg. Probably why you said 4lbs. I thought I’d heard of all the diets but not that one. Victoria’s Secret model sounds exotic. Is that the one where you work out in bright coloured lingerie but with sensible shoes? I might give it a go!

It’s pre planning that works for me too. It’s much easier for me though because I only eat one meal a day (omad). I’ve only started 5 weeks ago. Very healthy diet, low carb, no alcohol and gym most nights. Gentle cardio. Beginners weights! Down from 100 kg to 91.

I’m Darren 54😀 Moggomereno is a stray cat that I look after. He keeps he’s eye on me too. I’ve just started to learn how to play the ukulele and my fingers are red raw. This and the gym keep me focused too. My passion is Sunderland afc.

If you would like to tell me more about yourself I’d love to hear it. Do you sing? Good luck.

Take care.

I does not require me strutting my stuff but it just require me taking lots of exercise.

Brek Scrambled egg X 1

Small piece of toast.

Snack

Oat biscuit

Small apple 1/8 of a teaspoon of peanut butter.

Park walk

Lunch

Turkey salad from somewhere like Subway or at homemade.

Dinner

Small piece of chicken no bigger than half my palm size broccoli's brown rice half a cup

Exercise 10 min hitt

40 min dance

This is not a diet this is the actual lifestyle for me.

So you say you've lost 10 kg

What happens to your social life as I couldn’t follow a regime like this especially when your weight only goes up or down by about 2kg . I would see this as punishment. I admire your dedication and staying power but as a lifelong lifestyle I couldn’t follow this . When I see a Victorias Secret model I see very slim tall under 25 who has the same look. I feel some are genetically like this but I have to accept this will never be me . I watch what I eat . It is varied though and I flex accordingly. This does seem very extreme and prohibitive unless you only stick to this for a short period of time.

Hi, yes I’m down 10+ kg since January 9th.

It was actually 102 kg. I normally weigh myself on Fridays to keep me motivated. 91kg last weigh in. I’m very strict on myself though. The most important thing I’ve done is cut out processed foods completely. No exceptions, no cheats, and no treat days.. also I’ve cut out alcohol which is probably the main factor of my progress so far… I also go to a gym most night but being a newbie it’s quite intimidating. Just basic cardio and watching other uses doing free weights which I’m hoping to built enough confidence to try this for myself.. I don’t mean to be rude but I think your diet is hindering your success.

Breakfast- scrambled egg and toast. Ditch the toast and have another egg or two.

Snack- oats. Have some protein instead. Lots to choose from. Small apple- fructose. It’s not helping for weight loss. ( blood sugar). 1/8 of peanut butter- might as well not bother!

Park walk- cool.

Lunch - subway turkey salad. Assuming it’s not a sandwich and dressed in high calorie dressing then that’s good.

Dinner- small piece of chicken half your palm size , broccoli and brown rice. Not enough protein. Try a big chicken breast or thigh with broccoli and ditch the rice.

exercise 10 mins of HIIT- excellent …40 minute dance. Wow. Save the last dance for me!

I think you’re eating a carb heavy died and not enough protein. If you do fizzy drinks then I think you should stop immediately.

I’m sorry but I feel like I’m lecturing you when in actual fact I’m Rooting for you to succeed. If I’ve come over a bit condescending I’m so sorry.

Ps……. You say you’re not strutting your stuff. May I ask why not? 😁

Take care and good luck.
