I wanted to share some things that have helped me over the years since my weight loss surgery in 2017. When I started this journey I had ballooned to 312 pounds on my 5'7" Frame. I was, and still am, an emotional eater...struggle with it every day.....what I've found that has helped me the most is that I try and eat a small something every 2 to 3 hours....that way when I do eat my major meals I have time to process....I've also tried to quit eating after a certain time period...those 2 things have helped me the best....

It is a personal journey and it is what works for you but the biggest hurdle is to embark then keep going . You have some great ideas and it seems sensible if you are an emotional eater to eat little and often but ensure the little things aren't rubbishy snacks but quality protein that fills you up and go large with salads and most veg . I would key all into a free app called Myfitnesspal which gives calories , basic macros and may guide you as you can scan foods too . I was surprised how much salt I was consuming . It will guide you but I ditched after a month ad it can become too consuming but because I didn't have a degree in Nutrition I found it a 'pal'.
