I am having the hardest time losing weight. My sugar cravings are through the roof. Due to a blood disorder, I have chronic pain. So, it is hard to exercise. I am at 253 pounds & I feel almost defeated. I am also going through premenopause, which makes it even harder. Suggestions?

Good luck!
That's because sugar messes with your hormones so it's like a drug addiction. It's not just sugar that does this but also white bread. One thing you can do is at mealtimes, eat your meat or fish first, then your veg so that you'll be more satiated when you get to any carbs that are on the plate. Also you could ty to substitute the taste hit of sugar with spicy food.

The best course of action is to repeat word by word this to a healthcare professional who can work out a realistic care and eating plan as your needs are complex and I have found the people that seem to shed the weight the easiest don't have the issues you have . Only thing is to be taken seriously you have to diary all and keep exactly to what they say . I had help from my GP who linked me to a local gym which involved a go to person to guide me but I didn't have chronic pain or the medical history you have . I needed someone who would push me but knew I was waiting for hiatus hernia surgery and was mentally drained . We can suggest 'diets' , eating plans etc but you are an individual who needs the personal guidance and understanding . Yes - start with better eating plans , portion sizes etc but please get the help .
