Hi i've not posted on here for quite a while so here goes:
I'm walking everyday and trying to reach at least 10000 steps. I'm not losing the weight as quickly as i'd like but slow and steady sometimes wins the race!?
I've also been doing Yoga before bedtime to relax and help me sleep which is working.
I'm diabetic type 2 with liver problem and few other issues that are being looked into, I'm also on the menopause which doesn't help with sleep and weight loss, but I will persevere and i WILL get there.

What a positive attitude towards weight loss. Too often we're promised immediate results through some fad or another, but you're right, steady determination and self care really do win the day, and of course a little support from your peers does help, which you will know having been on the group before
In case you need a reminder of how it all works, I've popped a link to all the pinned posts. This includes the Daily Diary and the Weigh In which lots of members find really useful.
I wish you all the best with your health issues, and I know from experience about the disruption going through the menopause can cause, but you're absolutely doing the right thing with your daily exercise and I hope joining in here will help too.
Have you been given advice about the appropriate diet for diabetes? Apologies if I'm telling you stuff you already know. Type 2 diabetes is a disorder of carbohydrate metabolism, so that's what you need to focus on (rather than weight loss in general).

Like you I'm not giving up! I'm also trying to get over 10k steps per day. Not easy when it's been raining most days. Finding listening to podcasts helpful (and informative) and passes the time. Sometimes breaking it down to 3 smaller walks but onwards we trudge!
Well done... This is so great... It would be lovely if you found the fit is fun club and post your activities there i would love to hear how you are getting on... 10k steps is absolutely fantastic...
Walking is a cardiovascular exercise that makes your heart beat faster. Blood flow is enhanced, and blood pressure may drop as a result. By releasing specific hormones, such as endorphins, and distributing oxygen throughout the body, it aids in boosting energy levels.
Love the positive attitude Karenjnks also good to remind ourselves that if we haven't been used to doing exercise then the fat will become muscle so you may not have lost weight but you may have turned some of your fat stores into muscle. It's also interesting to learn that lack of sleep can cause us to eat more, and if it's carbs we reach for then sometimes it feels like once we start it's really hard to stop...
