I've been very incapacitated due to gout, particularly in my right wrist. It's been terribly painful and has given me a taste of what it's like to not be able to do things. For this reason I have just been sleeping and not doing any of my 🏠 housework. I just weighed myself after a long overdue bath ... 90kg. I've actually lost a bit of weight since my last weigh in. Today (Tuesday) has been the first day I've been relatively pain free. I hope to lose two kg by Monday. I'm thinking of having a daily soak in a hot bath to detoxify and burn calories after catching up on my domestic necessities. I hope to lose 20 kg by the end of February. 🤞

A DAY LATE DUE TO GOUT
You can still log your weight on the weigh-in, A-b-c-d, the thread will be open until 9pm Wednesday and then part 2 will be open for the rest of the week. It isn't essential that you post on the same day every week now
Hi !
thanks. I did record my weight. Luckily I was able to lose .90kg despite not being able to do much. I've just cut down on my overall food intake. I have cut down on my meat intake so feel better and more positive. I have not been able to fast due to having to take Naproxen for so many days. It has been nearly 7 years since I have had such a severe attack of gout. I am retired now so have not been forced to worry about taking time off. I have worked in Care and Supported Living for 35 years. The gout started in my right wrist shortly after I started using a cordless laptop mouse, and I am wondering if it was caused by the electric current. (Pure speculation ... but interesting ... 🤔)
You haven't recorded your weight on the weigh-in since 2/1/23, so you need to record it this week to be in line for weight loss badges
Have you watched the video I posted for you on Monday? It explains that it's not meat that's to blame for gout.
It's interesting that you should say that. I didn't know what gout really was until I suddenly found myself in a tiny sailboat in the middle of a wide ocean for days. It affected my mind. It was a side effect of the diuretic I was taking, so I believe, combined with wearing nylon pop socks and heels while on duty, working 12 hour shifts. I've been able to control it by wearing special gear on my feet and lower legs while working a heavy schedule for a number of years. I've needed Cholchisine but I've avoided using Alluprinol due to the dangerous potential side effects. I am a meat eater and have found that it isn't meat which causes flare ups but rather things such as salad dressings, sandwich spreads, colas , breads etc. Unfortunately, gout can also be caused by distress or anxiety. As soon as I find your video I'll watch it. Perhaps you could send it to me again ? Thank you for your support.
